At Divers Land, we’ve been introducing people to the underwater world since 2011, with friendly, patient instructors and small groups in the warm tropical waters of Sri Lanka.
Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, or with friends, this is often the highlight of the trip.
Perfect for Complete Beginners
You do not need:
- any diving experience
- strong swimming skills
- a PADI certification
We’ll guide you step-by-step and stay with you throughout the dive.
Most people are surprised by how quickly they relax once underwater. One minute you’re nervous on the boat, the next you’re floating over coral reefs wondering why fish have absolutely no respect for personal space.
What Happens During the Experience?
Your Discover Scuba Diving session usually includes:
- a short introduction and safety briefing
- learning a few basic underwater skills
- shallow practice in calm water
- one guided open water dive with a professional instructor
Everything is done at a relaxed pace.
Maximum depth is usually around 12 metres, depending on conditions and comfort level.

What Will You See?
Sri Lanka offers warm tropical water, colourful reef life, turtles, rays, moray eels, lionfish, and sometimes even larger marine life depending on the season and location.
Conditions vary through the year, which is why we operate on both coasts.

South Coast Diving – October to May
A relaxed beach town with easy access to reefs, wrecks, and sheltered dive sites. Great for combining diving with cafés, beaches, and south coast travel.
