Bookings and policies

How do I book diving or a Dive & Stay package?

Go to our booking enquiry page, where you are able to send us a form with the details of what you’re looking for.

Alternatively, call us anytime on WhatsApp.

We recommend getting in touch in advance during busy periods so we can check availability and help arrange the best option for your trip.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

A deposit may be required depending on the booking type, season, and length of stay. Please contact us for current details.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Cancellation terms may vary depending on the booking and season. We will always explain the policy clearly before confirming your reservation.

Accommodation

Do you have accommodation available?

In Nilaveli, we have our Divers Land Hostel. If you book a Dive & Stay or Learn & Stay package with us, accommodation at the hostel is included.

We don’t have any accommodation in Unawatuna, but if you contact us we can make some recommendations.

What type of rooms are available in Divers Land Hostel?

We offer both single and double rooms with fan cooling, designed for comfortable and affordable stays close to the beach and dive centre.

Visit Divers Land Hostel for full details.

Is air conditioning included?

Air conditioning is not included, but can be arranged in double rooms for an additional charge.

Is WiFi available and reliable?

Yes – we provide free WiFi for hostel guests. As with anywhere in Sri Lanka, occasional power cuts can sometimes affect internet reliability, but overall the connection is generally good

Diving

What dive sites do you visit?

We visit a wide range of local dive sites including reefs, wrecks, and marine parks. Please see our Dive Sites page for full details.

What’s the best time of year to dive here?

Sri Lanka offers year-round diving. We operate on both the south and east coasts depending on the season, allowing us to follow the best sea conditions throughout the year.

What marine life can I expect to see?

Sri Lankan waters are full of marine life including turtles, reef fish, moray eels, rays, nudibranchs, and occasionally larger pelagic species. Every dive is different, which is half the fun.

How experienced do I need to be?

No experience is necessary. We welcome complete beginners as well as experienced divers, and offer everything from Discover Scuba Diving experiences to beginners, intermediate and advanced courses and fun dives.

Getting Here & Practicalities

How do I get there from the airport?

You can reach us by train, bus, or taxi (or domestic flight to Trincomalee), depending on your budget, schedule, and sense of adventure. We are happy to advise on the best route.

Do you arrange transfers?

Transfers may be possible depending on availability. Please contact us in advance to discuss options.

What should I bring with me?

Bring lightweight clothes, swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen, and anything essential for tropical travel. If you are a certified diver, we recommend bringing certification cards and logbooks if you have them. If you’re prone to sea-sickness, then pop in some sea sick pills.

All diving prices include tank, weight belt, BCD, reg set, mask, fins and wet suit. Bring your own equipment and get up to 10% discount.

Why Choose Us

Why should I choose you over other dive centres?

We are a friendly, experienced local team who have been diving in Sri Lanka for many years. We focus on safe, relaxed, small-group diving with personal service and genuine local knowledge rather than conveyor-belt tourism.

What makes your location special?

Our locations give easy access to some of Sri Lanka’s best diving, beaches, and coastal atmosphere. In Nilaveli and Trincomalee, you can enjoy long sandy beaches, warm clear water, and some of the country’s best reef diving just offshore. On the south coast at Unawatuna, you’ll find vibrant beach life, tropical scenery, and varied diving opportunities.
